Easy Eye Makeover

Hi girls!

Sorry I have not been writing a lot, I have had my exams, still doing them, I so I mightn't write for a while, been missing you all!

My post today Is an easy eye makeover which requires not a lot of makeup and a simple look.

Here is the look:

I am only doing the eyes, so here we go!

Step one.

Apply the eye base.

What is an eye base?
An eye base is the base of the look, the starting point.
As mine is a simple look, I am doing for black simple smokey eyes.

That's the base done.

Now its step 2.

Step 2,

Apply the template.

Whats the template?

The template is the look you are going for, so I am doing eye mascara and Eyeliner.
This creates the look, and makes the starting point for the eyeshadow.

In my look, I didn't use eyeshadow, but used a little white near the nose.

That's my simple look!

Now add eyeshadow of your choice.

I hope oyu liked this and gave you some ideas, any questions, any suggestions?

Comment below.

Every comment is read by me and the lovestardollx team, trying to help you with stardoll!x

Thanks girls!x

Callie's Picks Issue 16: Seeing Spots is OUT!!!

Hey everyone!
The newest Callie's Picks has been released:

In my opinion, the clothes are a bit pricier than the last collection.
Also, I prefer the last issue than this one but still I would buy some of the items from this collection.

Note: Good news for everyone! If you haven't noticed them, check out the eyelashes on the fourth mannequin from the right. Recognise them? Well, if not, they are the famous and very rare Hot Buys Eyelashes released in the Spectacular store a few years ago:

Sorry for the price, the cheapest one I could find ;)
You can get hold of this rare and very wanted eyelashes from the store for only 13 sd:

Some items have been previously for free, some items given as freebies from the Stardoll game Fashion.inc.
Even though I prefer the last collection I am going to buy a few items from this collection as I am a Callie's Picks collector and some items are ''to die for!'' ;)

Do you like the new Callie's Picks Issue? Will you be buying anything?

Cancer

Hi girls, a few of us on stardoll are going bald for the support of cancer,
Here are a few reasons you should join in.

21 year old Jake Damms and girlfriend Lisa Bottomley, both from Sheffield, recently moved into one of Impact Living’s Wilfred Drive properties and have been together for the past 3 years.
They have a unique and emotional story to tell of which Young Heroes are most grateful to the couple for sharing with us.
When the couple met, Jake had already been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF-1), an inherited genetic disorder characterised by skin pigment changes and tumours that grow along nerves in the skin, brain, and other parts of the body.
Because of his condition, Jake had to be extra vigilant so last year when he began to get pains in his right thigh, he visited his family doctor immediately.
He was advised to go straight to the A&E department at Sheffield’s’ Northern General where the hospital ran a series of tests and performed a bone scan, CT and an MRI scan.
Shortly afterwards, Jake received the devastating news that he had Soft Tissue Sarcoma,
a cancer of the body tissues, as opposed to those of specific organs. They arise in bone, cartilage, muscle, fat, nerves, blood vessels and other connective tissue.
Jake, Lisa and their family and friends were left shocked and upset by the diagnosis however Jake maintained a positive attitude and knew he was in the capable hands of the experts.
Days later, he was transferred to Sheffield’s Weston Park where he began 2 grueling cycles of Chemotherapy.
The side effects from the treatment left him tired and weak as expected however one side effect he wasn’t expecting was Foot Drop (a reaction to certain prescription drugs, especially those associated with chemotherapy and multiple sclerosis which causes the inability to lift one or both feet at the ankle)
After completing the last cycle chemotherapy it became clear that the treatment had had little effect on the cancer so in the weeks that followed Jake underwent 25 courses of radiotherapy.
Desperate not to be separated from her boyfriend during this difficult time, loyal girlfriend Lisa slept in a chair at his bedside every night. Only at weekends was Jake allowed home, where he slept most of the time and regained some energy for the next cycle of tough treatment.
During this time (and unfortunately what seems to happen quite often) a number of Jake’s friends walked away unable to deal with the situation but luckily he had the devoted support and love from Lisa and his family.
After 2 courses of chemotherapy and 25 doses of radiotherapy, Jake was discharged from treatment and allowed back home to his father’s house, where the couple had been living previous to the diagnosis; however he still has regular checkups.
Despite been just 20 years old, Lisa became Jake’s full time carer which included her sorting out his medications and bathing and dressing him.
A couple of months ago, Jake’s CLIC Sargent support worker at Weston Park spoke to the couple about Young Heroes’ supported accommodation at Wilfred Drive and suggested they view one of the properties.
Happy with what they saw, the pair moved in weeks later and were both assigned a support worker.  Both Lisa and Jake agree that living in supported accommodation is the best place for them to be right now and feel safe and secure knowing that additional support is right there if and when they need it.

Another reason is a boy that I know has cancer too, he is on stardoll click here to visit him.

Sorry about this long post but you should go bald for cancer.

Flashback: Some stores you didn't know about... Part 1

Hey everyone!
I've been searching through Starbazaar and I saw some items from brands I forgot existed (not DKNY, Elle, Viviene Tam and Philosophy, of course). So I decided to share some interesting stores that were part of Stardoll's history.
A store many of you might not know about, especially the new members, is Stuff by Hilary Duff. Now this store wasn't very popular but it was very cheap, even though in the good old days Stardoll's items from Starplaza were exceptionally cheap.
In 2007, the Stardoll members got this message in their mailboxes:

The then famous real-life brand Stuff by Hilary Duff designed by Hilary Duff herself had signed a contract with Stardoll to create the Stardoll Stuff by Hillary Duff store and a Stardoll version of Hilary Duff, which you can check out here:
http://www.stardoll.com/en/user/?id=7576374
This shop had many collections and since when it arrived in Starplaza, Stardoll had less than 8,000,000 members, I couldn't find all collections, but I was able to find these:

Now, judging by this picture, the collection was very cheap and most of it was available for non-superstars. As you can probably see yourselfs, it's an Autumn/Winter inspired collection.
Here are some other floors of the shop, specifically the last 2 floors:

As you can see on the pics, these snapshots were taken from when the store had a 50% off sale in the end of April 2010. Then the members of Stardoll back then received this message:

The store was closing down and Superstars had 50% off all items from the shop. The non-superstars were able to buy the store at normal prices and only the items available for non-superstars. If you read the message carefully, you'll see that Stardoll clearly states: "...hello half-price future RARITIES!''. That means that even though the store was quite cheap, the items won't be released again and therefore, they'll be rare in the future.
And Stardoll stayed to its word - the store never came back after it left Starplaza in the end of April 2010.
I, personally, only own the pink dress on the first mannequin from the left in the third picture. As I've been searching a lot in Starbazaar, I came to the conclusion that the items now, over 4 years later, aren't that common, but with a lot of searching, you can find them for a reasonable price of less than 20 sd.
So, I hope I helped you with this post :) It was a real pleasure to make it :)
Anyways, did you like the items? Will you be searching in Starbazaar for them? And most importantly - do you want Stardoll to restore these items in Starplaza or not?

Sharing opinions about the past week!

Hey guys!
I really, really wanted to share this past week with you guys, so I decided to make this some kind of a weekly post to share the newest updates in Stardoll :)
This week started with the newest update on Stardoll's Spotlight:

Yes, Stardoll's newest Featured videos page where Stardoll shows popular medolls and their suites to ''boost'' their popularity. I liked the idea because, after all, these medolls have tried harder and spent more money maybe than normal members to turn their suites into luxurious palaces. But the idea of the Stardoll youtube channel is awful - no one cares about that. I didn't really like the fact that they took away the Catwalk page to put the Featured videos. Overall, I didn't like this.

Later on with this week, we continue on with the release of the two new floors of the Transform collection:

I like this collection - the colours are natural and are great for using in all kinds of outfits and looks but the prices which are very high for a make-up store make me take the final decision of not buying anything.

The new Riviera collection, and probably the highlight of this whole week makes us fall in love with the beautiful flower crowns and cute bikinis (with some exceptions, e.g. Leaf Bikini Bottom).

Now, as I stated above, this collection is one of my favourite collections in Starplaza for a long time. The collection just ''screams'' summer! I think I'll buy 5 items from this collection, including the flower crowns, bow bikini top, sea top and White Boho Blouse. The collection isn't that expensive, but even though the flower crowns are extremely beautiful, they are highly overpriced.

We move on to the final event of this week - the new MS.TQ collection:

Now, again, in my opinion, most of the hairstyles are ugly, especially the ones on the second floor. Maybe everyone's favourite is the Volume Base Hair which is perfect for all occasions. It's also very cheap - prices varying from 6-12 sd. This store is probably Stardoll's way to ''help'' non-superstar members with buying Stardesigned Hair for prices that don't exceed 15 sd, which is probably impossible to find in Starbazaar.

Which is your favourite update of this week? Share your opinion, we'd love to hear it!

Styling with Hot Buys!

Hey guys!
Today I'll introduce you to a new series (not weekly) of posts called ''Styling with Hot Buys''!
The purpose is to show you different outfits and combinations you can use for every Hot Buy released in Starplaza.
Hope you enjoy :)
Yesterday Stardoll released a new Hot Buy:

The HotBuys Hibiscus Cutoffs from Original Future for 14 sd! In my opinion, they're a bit pricey but if you like them and you have enough money to buy them, then go for it! ;)
One thing is for sure, though: these shorts are perfect for a summer outfit. So, in my opinion, a great store you can combine these shorts with is Riviera! The new Riviera collection is beautiful, especially the flower clowns which are to die for (not literally :D ). Here's what I can offer you:

It looks awesome, right? But to me at least, it looks kind of plain :(
So lets ''spice'' it up a bit, shall we ;)

Much better now, isn't it?
Now, you might be wondering why I circled part of the shirt. Well, it's simple: there are two ways of wearing this outfit. The first way is when the shirt is loose, and the second is when the shirt is tucked in the shorts:

It looks cute, doesn't it? And now you're going to ask me why I highlighted part of the top of the shirt. Well, even though you can't see it very well from the picture, if you try on the outfit and your hair is above the shoulders in length, then part of the blouse won't ''cover'' you shoulder (can't really explain it well). Here the trick is to wear longer hair and it will be hidden ;)

See, it's better now ;)
Now, to finish off the outfit, lets combine it with cute accesories :)

This is my final look :) You can add a crossover bag or a clutch to finish your look but I'll leave my outfit like this. Here are the items I used:
Riviera-White Boho Blouse-13 sd
Riviera-Sea Top-9 sd
Original Future-HotBuys Hibiscus Cutoffs-14 sd
Callie's Picks-Flat Gladiator Sandals-86 sc
Riviera-White Daisies Headpiece-12 sd
Total: 48 sd and 86 sc
Sorry for the pricey outfit, but I think it's worth it since the piece are great to combine with other things :)
